This is a new series of posts about Hong Kong, and more precisely about the different areas of Hong Kong. Although Hong Kong is small, it is hugely diverse. There are skyscrapers, mountains, beaches, rich areas, poor areas, and so much more. First up is: Clear Water Bay!

Hong Kong is made up of four main areas: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories and the Outlying Islands. Clear Water Bay is located within Clear Water Bay Country Park in the New Territories.

In Cantonese Clear Water Bay is Ching Sui Wan (清水灣). There are two main beaches: Clear Water Bay 1st beach and Clear Water Bay 2nd beach (not terribly exciting names!). Both beaches are protected with shark nets (as are many other beaches), due to the risk of shark attacks.

Journey: (from Central) take the Island Line towards Chai Wan and change at Quarry Bay, then the Tseung Kwan O line to Hang Hau. From there you need to take a bus or a taxi to your precise location.
The next time you guys come, I'll take you down to the beaches. There is a third hidden beach!
